Date | Issue NEWSLETTER VSHS eNews Update - threat on 1/16/20 Dear Families,
I'd like to start by saying that I am absolutely frustrated that I am yet again sending another communication to you regarding a threat that was made to our school. This is not what education is supposed to look like. Apologizing for the angst, worry, interruptions to schedules and the massive disruption of the educational process does not even begin to convey my sentiments. Please know that on a personal level, I'm beyond angry. Simply put, this behavior and decision-making is inexcusable. On a "professional" level my intent is unwavering and determined: to find out who made this threat, and to pursue significant disciplinary and legal consequences. As a parent, I completely understand the frustration around not knowing what is going on with an investigation involving student safety or having clean resolution to a safety issue. The NYS Police and the Ontario County Sherriff's Department do have a list of suspects they are questioning. Please know that there are many regulations regarding a student's right to privacy. I will communicate updates to the extent I am allowed as they develop. As always, our main priority is the safety of our students and staff. Thank you for understanding and for everything you do for your children.
With gratitude, Brian Siesto
