January NEWSLETTER
Hello Victor community! I am looking forward to spending the winter and spring at the Early Childhood School! I hope to meet many more staff members and Victor families after the break. Meanwhile, here's a little more about me.
I live in Williamson with my husband, Greg. We have four grown children and three grandchildren, and they all live in the Rochester area. The little ones are so much fun! I enjoy helping out with childcare for part of the week.
I retired from Spencerport Schools in 2019 after being the principal of Terry Taylor Elementary School for 15 years. Prior to that, I worked as an assistant principal for Brockport Schools. My teaching career took place at Pioneer Schools (grades one and four as well as middle school French and Spanish) and Wilson Schools (grade 4 and grades 7-12 French and Spanish). My favorite grade to teach was first grade because they are such little sponges! My bachelors, masters, and certificate of advanced study in school administration were all earned from Buffalo State College. I also earned my doctorate in education from the University at Buffalo.
I have enjoyed getting to know Victor and the ECS a little better. Everyone is so welcoming, and I can tell how much the staff cares about the kids. I'm sure I can be helpful as the district prepares to hire a permanent replacement for Mrs. DiAngelo!
I look forward to working alongside you this year to support our youngest learners!
Sincerely, Dr. Macaluso
