Federally Funded Programs
During this school year, Victor Central School District will participate in the following federally funded programs:
Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
The Every Student Succeeds Act is a US law that was passed in December 2015 that governs the United States K–12 public education policy. The act supports standards-based education and the premise that setting high standards and establishing measurable goals can improve individual outcomes for children. The school system utilizes allocated monies for skill development, educational improvements, support services, and certain projects such as, professional development, substance abuse prevention, technology, and innovative programs.
Title I, II, III & IV
Title I, II, III, & IV funds received from the federal government support the District’s Academic Intervention Services and fund professional development for faculty.
Students who receive these supplemental services have been identified through multiple assessments to be at risk of or not meeting proficiency standards set by New York State and/or the District. These Academic Intervention Services include reading, writing and mathematics support.
