Angela was raised in Ontario, NY and attended Wayne Central High School. She is an alumni of Ithaca College, New York University, and SUNY Cortland. She spent her professional career at Ithaca City School District, OCM BOCES, and Cortland Enlarged City School District. Angela and her husband moved to the Rochester area from Ithaca, NY in 2020. She now resides in Webster with her husband and baby.

Amanda Moon was raised in the Utica area and came to Rochester to attend college at SUNY Geneseo. She is passionate about elementary education. Amanda developed her knowledge and skills as a teacher in the Pittsford Central School District, where she taught for 10 years. She served as a grade 3 teacher for 9 years and had invaluable opportunities as a teacher leader. Amanda's education and experience is focused in Childhood and Special Education (1-6), Reading and Literacy (Birth-Grade 12), and Educational Leadership. She is currently the Assistant Principal at Victor Primary School.

Tom was raised in Syracuse, NY. He studied Inclusive Childhood and Middle Childhood Education at Nazareth College before becoming a Special Education Teacher at Victor Intermediate School in 2014. For the next 8 years, he worked with students in a variety of Special Education settings grades 4-6 and supported staff in various teacher leadership roles. In 2020, Tom achieved National Board Certification and became an Exceptional Needs Specialist (Birth-21+). Following this, he pursued Educational Leadership at the University of Rochester and coordinated Extended School Year programming K-12. He is currently an Assistant Principal at Victor Intermediate School.

Kelly was raised in Kingston Massachusetts. She is an alumnus of Eastern Nazarene College. She moved to Farmington NY in 1990. Her two sons both attended Victor Schools. Kelly started driving school bus in 1992 for the Victor School District. She became a trainer for several years and then took on the role of Lead 19-A Examiner. She was Head Bus Driver for a very short period of time before becoming Director of Transportation. She is a Certified Examiner as well as a School Bus Driver Instructor. Kelly resides in Fairport with her husband. They share 4 children together and three beautiful grandchildren.

Prior to coming to VCS in 2022, Mr. DeRose worked for the Webster Central School for 18 years. While in Webster, Mr. DeRose worked as a special education teacher, instructional specialist, and extended school year coordinator before accepting the position of Assistant Principal at DeWitt Road Elementary School. While not at work, Mr. DeRose spends time with his wife, two sons, and daughter. As a family, they enjoy hiking, gardening, and traveling. He is a collaborative leader who values each individual in the VCS community and looks forward to leading and learning alongside the VECS faculty, staff, families, and students.

Karen began her teaching career as a junior high school science teacher at Dake Junior High School in West Irondequoit. After teaching for eight years, she became the Director of the West Irondequoit Teaching Learning Center. As director, she facilitated a variety of professional development programs including technology training, New Teacher Orientation and Induction, Mentor Training and Peer Coaching. After completing her administrative program, Karen served as the 7-12 Science Supervisor in West Irondequoit. As supervisor, she facilitated the development and implementation of science curriculum, supervised classroom teachers and began the work to unpack the Science and Engineering practices within classrooms. Prior to joining the Victor team, Karen served as the Director of 7-12 Instruction for West Irondequoit, overseeing curriculum and instruction, including the development of a comprehensive RtI/MTSS system and an updated system for curriculum review. Karen has two sons, Frederick and George. Frederick is working on becoming a mathematics teacher, and George is starting an accounting program. She, her husband John, and her beagle, Jack live in Penfield.

Prior to joining VCSD in 2014, Mr. Gee was a teacher of English at Norwell Middle School in Massachusetts and later at Brighton High School. In 2006, Mr. Gee accepted the position of Assistant Principal at Brighton High School, a position he held until joining VJH. While not at work, Mr. Gee spends time with his wife, two daughters, and their golden doodle, Boston. If he is not at home, Mr. Gee is likely mountain biking, hiking or snowshoeing local trails or playing his guitar. He believes deeply that each student can accomplish great things with the support caring adults.
