This month, seventh graders in Maureen Bolger’s Home and Career Skills classes worked with second graders in the Primary School. The special visit was the culminating activity for that course’s Child Care and Development unit. Home and Careers is a life skills-based class designed to prepare students to meet their present and future responsibilities and understand their opportunities in managing their personal, family and career lives. The goal of the course is to educate students to think constructively, make sound decisions, solve problems, and manage resources. Every seventh grade student in the Junior High School is required to take one semester of this valuable course.
