Stakeholder Input Sought Regarding Contract with Private Security Guard Company

The Victor Central School District intends to contract with a third party for private security guard services.  Effective July 1, 2019 New York State Education Law § 2801-a was amended to require that every school district that employs or contracts for private security guard services shall define the relationship between the school district, school personnel, students, visitors, and public or private security personnel.  Such contract or memorandum of understanding must be consistent with the code of conduct, define law enforcement’s responsibilities and involvement within a school and clearly delegate the role of school discipline to the school administration.

We seek your input as we develop a contract with a private security guard company for the 2022-23 school year.  Please provide any input to Assistant Superintendent for Business Derek Vallese at vallesed@victorschools.org on or before August 5, 2022.
