ParentSquare is a unified communications platform designed to keep parents and guardians informed while encouraging greater engagement and connection with VCS. ParentSquare provides a safe way for District administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to:

How it Works

  • All District, building, grade, and classroom news and information will be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text.
  • There is no need to register to receive communications from VCS unless you want a more customized, interactive experience.

Register to Customize Your Account
If you would like to get more out of ParentSquare, you will need to register. 
Registration allows you to:

  • Choose when you receive messages (Digest or Instant).
  • Interact with the person who is sending messages.

How to Register Your Account

  • Go to and click “Sign In.” 
  • Type in your email or cell phone number.
  • You will get prompted to register your account.

If you still have questions you can click the question mark in the top right corner of the desktop version of ParentSquare or the Help tab on the ParentSquare app (tap the triple bar icon at the top left) for answers to most questions. You can also access the “Getting Started” video link below.

REGISTERED users can change their notification frequency for posts: you can receive instantly (when they are posted) or as a Digest at 6 p.m. 

  • All posts would be sent in one email at 6 pm. each night
  • If the user with the Digest setting turned on looks at the app or web browser, they will see the posts 
  • The Digest user will still receive emergency communications instantly sent by Smart Alert or when an user sends a post instantly   
  • Messages, communication directed to smaller groups or individuals, are sent instantly


How to Access and View Secure Document via ParentSquare

Victor Central Schools uses Secure Document delivery, which means you can view documents related to your student quickly from the web browser and from the app. In addition, you can also simply click the link provided in an email, text or app notification to access the Secure Document.

From a Web Browser:

1.      Sign into your ParentSquare account with your email address, phone number, or click “Sign In with Google.”

2.      From Home, select Alerts and Notices on the left, then select the Document tab.

From the ParentSquare App:

1.      Log in to your ParentSquare account with your email address, phone number, or click

“Sign In with Google”.

2.      On the bottom tool bar, select Alerts.

3.      Locate the document you want to view and click View Document. Secure document notices are marked by a page with lock icon.

3.      Locate the document you want to view and click View Document to open the PDF.

4.      Since it is a Secure Document, you will be asked to sign in again to verify your identity and view the document.

5.      Sign in again to securely view the selected document.

Secure Documents will display for as long as the student is attending the building that uploaded the document.
