Hi Everyone,

This afternoon Tim, Roni and I spoke with Mary Beer from the Ontario County Department of Health regarding COVID vaccinations.  

Vaccine Locations

• The Department of Health would like to work collaboratively with school districts to explore the possibility of setting up on site locations to vaccinate school employees.  To that end, Mary Beer plans to meet with district Superintendents this week to further discuss how this could be accomplished.  When a plan is in place it will be shared with you.  
• County Websites - You can still sign up for vaccinations on County websites. While the state website notes that you have to sign up in the county you live or work, Mary clarified that you can sign up for the vaccination in any county; it does not have to be the county where you live or work.  

Questions Regarding Vaccinations:

• PLEASE DO NOT CALL HEALTH DEPARTMENTS DIRECTLY  they are working diligently to work on processes to exponentially increase the number of people they can vaccinate daily and need to focus their communication efforts on working with constituent groups to establish additional vaccination sites.
• Email me if you have questions.  As I referenced earlier today, these will not be responded to individually, however, the district will work directly with Mary to get answers and as they become available they will be communicated to you.

Filling out the form when scheduling an appointment

• The form will ask you when your first vaccination was (yes- I know you haven't had one yet!).  Use the auto filled date that is already in the box.

• As a general rule I will send emails for job assignments that are two days or more ahead of time so please check your email on a regular basis, I will hold the job until I hear back from you. You can deny or accept any job.  
• I only TEXT for jobs that come up the night before and early in the morning. It's important to have your cell phone near you at night and in the morning. Most phones have a priority call where only my notification will come through. I will text up to 11:00 pm and will start in the morning as of 5:00 a.m.
• I send out a broadcast message to subs for that subject I need to fill and I will give the job to the first person that I hear from and then the next job to the 2nd person. Basically, if I need a science teacher, I will send a text out to all science teachers, or elementary etc. 
• I ask all subs to send me an email once a week usually on Fridays and let me know what days you are still available for assignments the upcoming 2 weeks, I know availability changes especially if you work in several districts. You are always welcome to text me anytime with updates. 
• Once you accept a job please only cancel a job via a text as I don't always get through all of my emails each day before I need to fill positions. 
• Please add my phone number and email to your contact lists on your phone.
• Please always bring a Picture ID with you and a face mask, they are required.
• We need full day positions and also part time jones as well as jobs just a couple days a week. 

Hours for Teachers

• SH Hours half day hours are 7:20-10:45 and 10:45-3:00, full day 7:20-3:00
• JH Hours half day hours are 7:20-11:00 and 11:00-3:00, full day 7:20-3:00
• Intermediate, Primary and ECEC half day hours are 8:00-11:30 and 11:30-3:30 and full days are 8:00-3:30.  

Hours for Teacher Aides

• These change significantly depending on the school and assignments, so I would give you those specific hours.
