Student, Iselle Rucci, was honored this March by Senator Pam Helming as one of 26 regional high school juniors for excellence in leadership.

Iselle was nominated by Victor High School Guidance Counselor, Moira Platzer, who said; " Iselle is one of those students whose sincere smile and caring personality is contagious to all around her. This past year, I met with her to discuss her plans for post-high school. It was during this meeting that I was in awe of her mature approach to life and genuine care and concern for helping those in need."

The Youth Awards Program celebrates young people making a meaningful impact. Iselle is a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, Marching Band and Winterguard. She is also actively involved in numerous community service initiatives, from serving food at the Mustard Seed Kitchen Community Dinner to distributing food to those in need through her church.

Upon graduation Iselle hopes to attend college on a pre-med track and pursue a career as a pediatrician.
