This spring, senior Jack Kubinski was awarded the first annual Charlie Maves Scholarship in a heartfelt ceremony at Legion Post 931. Charlie Maves was an air force veteran who donated thousands of hours to the work of Legion 931. Sadly, Charlie passed away recently, and Legion 931 wanted to honor his memory.

Jack has demonstrated exemplary commitment to supporting local veterans through initiatives such as providing free fall clean-up services in Victor and Monroe County and founding Yards for Brave.

This fall, Jack is headed to John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio where he plans to continue helping veterans.
