On Thursday, May 14, 2026, the Victor Central School District Board of Education officially appointed Dr. Megan Molina as the new Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Services.

Molina will succeed Karyn Ryan, who is retiring at the end of June after a distinguished career, helping to lead special education for many years in both Victor and the West Irondequoit School Districts. "We are incredibly grateful for Mrs. Ryan’s leadership as Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Services" said Superintendent Dr. Tim Terranova. "Her contributions have been invaluable, and we wish her all the best in her retirement."

Dr. Molina joins VCS from the Elmira Heights School District, where she served as Director of Student Services and was the CSE/CPSE Chairperson since 2021. During her tenure, she oversaw all special education and pupil services, where she built special education programming that increased opportunities for students. She also added a work-based learning component to the programming and was heavily involved in curriculum design and development.

Molina spent eight years as an outstanding special education teacher in the Horseheads Central School District before becoming an administrator. In addition to being an exemplary 12:1:1 and 15:1 teacher, she was the Special Education Department Co-Chair, Instructional Coach, and an adjunct professor in special education at Elmira College.

Molina was also the Head Varsity Softball Coach at Horseheads for four years and won a Sectional Championship in 2018. She was widely respected as a culture builder who got the best out of her teams.

VCS Superintendent Dr. Tim Terranova commented that throughout her career, Molina has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, including highly effective communication skills, outstanding knowledge of special education programs and concepts, and is a systems thinker who is adept at problem solving in any situation. “Most importantly, she believes in all children and is tireless in her quest for each child to achieve their full potential,” he said.

Dr. Molina shared Terranova’s excitement about the new role, saying she is honored to join the Victor Central School District and become part of a community so deeply committed to students and their success. “What stands out most about Victor is the district’s dedication to creating meaningful opportunities and supports for all learners. I look forward to building strong relationships with students, families, and staff while continuing to strengthen student-centered systems where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. I am truly excited to become part of the Victor community and contribute to the care and excellence that make the district such a special place,” she said.

Molina earned her Doctorate in Educational Administration (EdD) from the University of Rochester in 2025. She also holds a B.A. in English Literature, Adolescent Education, and Special Education from St. John Fisher University (2012), an M.S. in Curriculum Development & Instructional Technology from the University at Albany (2014), and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration from SUNY Brockport (2020). Her anticipated start date is July 1, 2026.
